Anambra State Polytechnic Mgbakwu had its maiden tree planting season on June 20th, 2024 which is in conjunction with the Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, the Anambra State Governor's operation Clean, Green and sustainable Environment. This exercise was done under the auspices of School of Agriculture and other related Sciences.

The Clean and Green Environment Project exercise incorporated a flag off of the maiden annual farming season of Anambra State Polytechnic, Mgbakwu.

The event witnessed the planting of over one thousand and five hundred ornamental and economic plants and trees.

In solidarity with Operation Clean, Green and sustainable Environment in Anambra State, the Acting Rector of ANSPOLY, Mgbakwu and her Management team accompanied by other staff members of the Polytechnic community went round the already mapped out parts of the Institution to carry on with the planting exercise.

In her opening remarks , the Ag. RectorNjideka Ekwezia-chiekezie said that the vision was to give the Polytechnic an Agricultural look so that no part of the Polytechnic would lie waste. She also shared the vision of test-running some crops like carrot, cabbage,bell pepper, ginger and others in the Polytechnic, and enjoined interested staff members to be a part of that vision by taking up a chain of land to plant either of the crops mentioned .The staff showed their unwavering support of this vision with a clap ovation.
